Exploring the Creative Spirit
Together, We're Stronger

Writing can be a lonely pursuit. The same can be said for Illustrating. Part of the job description for each is to sit alone and thoughtfully compose. But no artist should be an island.

Together, we can support, uplift, encourage, and inspire each other. We can seek and give guidance, share knowledge, and commiserate on all the experiences we, as creatives, share. And most importantly, we can join forces to bring awareness to artisans throughout the Temecula Valley. Together, we're stronger. Join us to find out why.

Kathryn Otoshi: BEYOND WORDS & IMAGES
Exploring Symbolism for Creative Expression

Symbolism is essential in books because it allows us to communicate complex, layered ideas and emotions without stating them explicitly. Learn how to elevate your words and images, enhance emotional resonance, and engage your readers on a deeper and more personal level.

KATHRYN OTOSHI is an award-winning author, illustrator, and speaker best known for her groundbreaking work that blends powerful social messages with vibrant visual storytelling. Her acclaimed books—including Zero, One, and Two—have garnered numerous accolades and are widely used in schools and homes to spark conversations about character development, inclusion, and emotional literacy. She is passionate about empowering children to embrace their individuality, stand up for others, and find strength in kindness. She goes to schools across the country to encourage kids to develop strong character assets, and helps educators find creative methods to engage their children and students through art, reading and the power of literature. Kathryn lives in Temecula, California, where she continues to create stories that open hearts and minds.
